The Campus do Mar International Campus of Excellence offers the Marine Science, Technology and Management (DO*MAR) PhD program this academic year 2014-2015 with the aim of offering internationally acclaimed excellence in marine training.

The DO*MAR program covers the study of the oceans in a multidisciplinary manner and incorporates the different knowledge fields. It is cross-border in nature and participants include 6 universities from Spain (Universidade de Vigo, Universidade da Coruña and Universidade de Santiago de Compostela) and Portugal (Universities of Aveiro, Minho and Trás-os-montes e Alto Douro), the Higher Council of Scientific Research (CSIC) and the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO). 

Internationally renowned specialists will participate in this DO*MAR PhD program and will deliver lectures and seminars, to thus provide quality training that will stimulate research with international impact and provide industry with the best tools to compete at global level.

PhD grants for students in the portuguese universities

The Do*Mar PhD programme has just launched a call for applications to PhD grants for students wishing to enroll in the Universities of Aveiro, Minho and Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. The deadline is the 6th of March 2015. 

The grants are financed by the Portuguese Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), and require a mobility period of at least 6 months in one of the non-Portuguese members of the consortium. Six grants are available for the current call.
