Please find given the application form to the first international summer school (all courses will be in English) entitled “Biotic Interactions: from genes to ecosystems” (27-31 August 2012).
This Summer School in Integrative Ecology and Biology is part of the training programme of the TULIP Labex project (Laboratory of Excellence). It will take place in the French Pyrenees in grandiose scenery at the foot of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, a 2 800 m mountain topped by one of the last astronomy observatories to be still operating in Europe.
The programme will include courses by international speakers, workshops, visit of unique place like the Experimental Ecology Center of CNRS at Moulis...
Our target audience is Master and PhD students, but post-docs are welcome to apply as well. All courses will be in English through plenary lectures and workshops. The programme will cover all aspects of interactions between organisms from an ecological as well as a biological point of view. Selected students will:
- Take an active part in developing research projects in these fields,
- Meet experts from Toulouse and all over the world,
- Enjoy a summer vacation in the Pyrenees.
Free accommodation and stay is provided to all participants and we can receive up to 25 undergraduate or graduate students and possibly a few post-doctoral researchers.
