Colloque "Science et Société. Pour l'adaptation des territoires aux changements climatiques"

Le Comité National Français sur les Changements Globaux (CNFCG), le conseil scientifique du programme Gestion et Impacts du Changement Climatique (GICC MEEM) et le Comité régional sur le changement climatique en Nouvelle-Aquitaine (AcclimaTerra) organisent conjointement un colloque national sur l' adaptation des territoires aux changements climatiques. Celui-ci se tiendra à Bordeaux du 21 au 24 juin 2017 et le LabEx COTE est partenaire. Les inscriptions sont ouvertes en ligne et le programme est dès à présent disponible.

Two post-doc positions in isotope geochemistry available (Tenerife, Canary Island, Spain)

The Institute of Technology and Renewable Energies (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain) is seeking 2 postdoctoral isotope geochemistry fellows to join our dynamic applied geochemistry research group. The appointment will be for 2 years period. The successful candidates will conduct isotope geochemistry research activities related to volcano monitoring, ground water resources in volcanic terrains, geothermal exploration, food authenticity and traceability, geochronology, paleoclimatology and paleoecology as well as consult with and train foreign counterparts. Documented experience of teamwork and/or participation into integrated multidisciplinary projects represents a plus in the selection process.

Post-doc position at Empa, Switzerland - N2O production from nitritation-anammox

The Laboratory for Air Pollution/Environmental Technology at Empa, Switzerland offers a 36-month Postdoc position on N2O production from nitritation-anammox. The postdoc at Empa will collaborate with scientists at University of Basel (Prof. Dr. Moritz Lehmann), and Eawag in Dübendorf and Kastanienbaum (Dr. A. Joss and Dr. H. Bürgmann) to advance our understanding of the nitrogen metabolism in pure and mixed anammox cultures. The overarching goal of the SNF Sinergia project is to develop an optimized nitrogen removal process for full-scale wastewater treatment using nitritation-anammox systems with stable operation, high N removal efficiency and minimized greenhouse gas emissions.

Post-doc position at the University of Rennes: stress ecology and ecotoxicology - extended deadline for application

An 18-months postdoctoral position in stress ecology and ecotoxicology is available at the University of Rennes1 (Brittany, France): "Evaluation of tolerance development of soil engineer fauna to contamination with residual pesticides in agricultural landscapes". The position is available in the research group RITME lead by Professor Claudia Wiegand at the CNRS laboratory Ecosystems, Biodiversity and Evolution ( ECOBIO , UMR 6553) in Rennes, France. It is part of a current programme on Environmental Toxicology and Stress Ecology (LIA ETSE, CNRS and University Rennes1). The application deadline is now 30 May 2017.
